How do you vet an Instagram influencer before hiring them for a campaign?

Effective influencer vetting requires verifying five core pillars: 1) Median engagement rate, 2) Audience Quality Score (AQS) and bot percentage, 3) Follower geographic alignment, 4) Format multipliers (Reels vs Carousels), and 5) Commercial ad saturation. AnalyzeInsta provides this entire pre-hire audit in under five seconds.

What is the difference between average engagement and median engagement?

Average engagement sums total interactions across posts and divides by post count, which can be heavily distorted by a single viral post. Median engagement finds the exact middle performance value across recent uploads, revealing true baseline performance.

How much should brands pay for an Instagram Reel in 2026?

Fair market pricing for Instagram Reels is driven by median view volume: Nano-creators (1k-10k followers): $50 to $200; Micro-influencers (10k-50k followers): $200 to $650; Mid-tier creators (50k-200k followers): $650 to $2,200; Macro-influencers (200k-1M followers): $2,200 to $8,500.

How can brands tell if an influencer audience will actually purchase products?

Check geographic concentration in Tier-1 buyer countries (US, UK, CA, AU), verify 25-44 age demographics, read comments for genuine product questions, and check save-to-like ratios where high saves signal actionable consumer intent.

What specific terms should be included in an influencer contract?

Specify exact deliverable format, publishing window corresponding to peak audience hours, category exclusivity window (14-30 days), content usage rights and whitelisting permissions, FTC disclosure requirements, and 48-hour reach reporting.
